<< Go Back up to Atmospheric Theatres Main Page

The 1,600-seat theatre opened in May 1926 with Let’s Get Married (1926)
starring Richard Dix. It was designed by architect John Eberson in an Atmospheric style with a Mediterranean courtyard theme. Interior decoration was by William A. Hartman of the Michael Angelo studios of Chicago.
At its opening the theatre was home to a Robert Morton 4-manual, 17-rank pipe organ. According to Ron Willfong
the organ was sold to Mark Kenning, of Dallas TX, in 1961.
The theatre was demolished in 1963 and became a parking lot.
