Alfred B. Rosenthal

Alfred Rosenthal, also known as A.B. Rosenthal, was active on the West Coast of the United States, designing buildings in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles.

Rosenthal is perhaps best known for the Granada Theatre Building in Santa Barbara, California, which famously withstood the 1925 Santa Barbara earthquake and has been Santa Barbara’s tallest building since its completion in 1924.

In Los Angeles, Rosenthal designed the California Theatre on Main St (opened 1918, demolished 1990).
