The KiMo Theatre opened in mid-1927, designed by the Boller Brothers with a Pueblo Deco themed interior. The name means “Mountain Lion”, more loosely interpreted in the Tiwa language of the Tiwa Pueblo people as “king of its kind” or “that which cannot be perfected”.
