“The Wizard of Oz”

The Wizard of Oz (1939) follows Dorothy Gale, a Kansas farm girl who is swept away by a tornado to the magical Land of Oz. Seeking a way home, she follows the Yellow Brick Road to meet the Wizard, befriending a Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion along the way while evading the Wicked Witch of the West.

Doors open at 2pm, movie starts at 3pm.

Set in a dystopian future, Metropolis story follows Freder, the son of the city’s mastermind, whose love for a working-class woman leads him to the city’s unpleasant underbelly. Metropolis is often cited as one of the first science fiction feature films, opening the door to the hundreds of movies in the genre that exist today.

After a gentle alien becomes stranded on Earth, the being is discovered and befriended by a young boy named Elliott (Henry Thomas). Bringing the extraterrestrial into his suburban California house, Elliott introduces E.T., as the alien is dubbed, to his brother and his little sister, Gertie (Drew Barrymore), and the children decide to keep its existence a secret. Soon, however, E.T. falls ill, resulting in government intervention and a dire situation for both Elliott and the alien.

Mufasa: The Lion King is a prequel exploring the rise of Mufasa from an orphaned cub to the legendary king of the Pride Lands. Told in flashback by Rafiki to Kiara (Simba’s daughter), the story follows Mufasa and his adopted brother Taka (later Scar) on a journey with a group of misfits to escape a dangerous, murderous foe named Kiros.

Down-on-his-luck private eye Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins) gets hired by cartoon producer R.K. Maroon (Alan Tilvern) to investigate an adultery scandal involving Jessica Rabbit (Kathleen Turner), the sultry wife of Maroon’s biggest star, Roger Rabbit (Charles Fleischer). But when Marvin Acme (Stubby Kaye), Jessica’s alleged paramour and the owner of Toontown, is found murdered, the villainous Judge Doom (Christopher Lloyd) vows to catch and destroy Roger.
