Theatre Tour

8th August 2020, 10am

Combining myth, fact and Bristolian folklore, our new socially-distanced Theatre Tours expertly weave past and present into a thrilling and informative experience. With fewer people around, we can show you all the nooks and crannies and rarely-seen backstage areas, all whilst keeping everyone safe.

Gain an in-depth knowledge of Bristol Old Vic’s two-and-a-half-century history with one of our experienced tour guides who know our story inside-out: from the origin of the Georgian theatre’s design, to intricate details of our 2018 renovation.

Running every Wednesday (and some Saturdays) at 10am and 11am, this is the perfect outing for anyone interested in theatre and Bristol Old Vic’s rich story. A socially-distanced experience, our Theatre Tours are designed for family groups or ’bubbles’, and we can only accommodate one group per booking. Groups can be any size up to a maximum of 20 people.

Additional Info: You must book your tour at least 72 hours beforehand. Comfortable shoes advised. Whilst every effort has been made to make this tour accessible, certain areas can only be accessed via steps. As a working theatre with ongoing rehearsals and other technical work, there are certain times when parts of the building will be inaccessible. We always endeavour to provide a true behind-the-scenes experience, but in rare circumstances it may be necessary for tours to be rescheduled. Please advise your tour guide if you are uncomfortable with heights.

** CANCELED ** Nikki Glaser

25th September 2020, 8pm

** THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED **

BANG IT OUT TOUR 2020

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing an episode of Comedy Central mainstay “Not Safe with Nikki Glaser”, then you’ll be well acquainted with her unapologetic, no-holds-barred comedy style, but you may still blush when confronted with her racy live stand-up routine. Leaving no stone unturned when it comes topics including sex, relationships, the single life, Target fashion triumphs and invasive TSA practices, Glaser spreads her mischievous glee around venues across North America on tour.

Not only has Glaser tickled the nation’s funny bones on the small screen, but also appeared alongside Amy Schumer in feature film “Trainwreck” and produced a popular podcast in which she honed her oversharing, top notch comedy skills. Whilst she’s at her razor-sharp best when getting way too personal, her hilarious rage also brings the belly laughs when she tears into vapid celebrity culture. Charismatic, consistently charming and constantly balancing frankness with neuroses and self-deprecation, Glaser’s clearly on path to legend status.

Tickets $45 to $135 plus fees.
