Washington DC

Ford’s Theatre

Ford’s Theatre opened in August 1863 under the direction of Baltimore-based theatre entrepreneur John T. Ford. The theatre is best known as the site of the assassination of US President Abraham Lincoln on April 14, 1865. The theatre is now part of the Ford’s Theatre National Historic Site and is open to the public daily in addition to being a working theatre.

The Kennedy Center

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (formally called the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts, and commonly referred to as the Kennedy Center) is the United States National Cultural Center, located on the Potomac River, adjacent to the Watergate complex in Washington, D.C.

National Theatre

The National Theatre is located just a few blocks east of the White House and is the second oldest continually operating theatre in the United States, having opened in December 1835. The original brick stagehouse and stone foundations still survive, however the auditorium has undergone multiple rebuilds and renovations during its 180-year history.

Warner Theatre

The Warner opened as the Earle Theatre in December 1924, presenting vaudeville and first-run silent movies. The theatre was built as part of a multi-use building that included a popular rooftop theatre/garden and a restaurant and ballroom in the basement, in addition to office space.
